Help with mark signature abstract design necklace

Post by So0tH »

Greetings all!

Newbie here. I recently acquired some silver jewelry and found most of the makers. Mainly TAXCO items. I have 3 pieces from the same maker that leave me baffled. I have included pics of the earrings and necklace with a close up of the signature. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Thought they might be by the artist Bob Natalini, who now specializes in pieces incorporating insects. Tracked him down on the web and sent him an email. Below is his response.
Regards, Tom
Hi - I am the creator of those pieces - so nice to see them again, BUT, I am dying to get my hands on them so I can clean them up - they are covered with tarnish!...and the colors of the mixed metals cannot be seen well.
Best regards, Bob Natalini

Thank you Tom.

Thank you for your help.

I just got off the phone with Bob Natalini. He is a very nice man.

The pieces I have were created in 1970. He created around 50 or so other similar style works in the early 70's and was active in Philadelphia around 70s-80s. They should all bear his signature and most a two digit year.

As you have said he now specializes in pieces incorporating insects that have naturally expired and support rain forest sustainable use systems. He has one site for butterfly incorporated jewelry and one site for insects in general.

I have been given some instruction and will have the pieces restored as they were intended. I will post some before and after pictures when the restoration is completed.

Thanks again,

Keith
