hello,
this french Bouilloire ( Samovar) on its stand with heater , made ca. 1850-1880 has marks very difficult to read . I was not able to find out, which maker this could be. Does any one no this makers mark.
Thanks for replies

Hello, looks like Tonnelier from Paris. His mark consisted of two crossed pieces of cutlery, a star and the letters E T. Best wishes, Bahner

Hello,
thank you very much for your reply. Where did you find that hallmark?--- Do you know perhaps, how these Burners worked. It has a lid and an 1cm diameter opening. It worked with alcohol ( Spiritus/ Alcohol a bruler) so much I know, but I think I cannot just fill it in and ignite the vapour coming out of such a big opening.
avec mes salutations
