I have not been able to identify the maker of an antique sterling pitcher that my grandmother left me. I have tried to take a photo of the mark, but the result is a little blurry. I realize this may prevent anyone from being able to help, but I'm also attaching a sketch of the mark, in case anyone will recognize it.
In addition to the maker, I'm also interested if anyone knows if "5 Pts." refers to five pints, as in the volume of the pitcher? Is this an unusual mark?
If scoured through the excellent website looking for the image, but with no luck. I don't even know the nation of origin. Thanks for any light you can shed.
Best,
