Need help identifying makers mark

Postby Joan » Mon Feb 16, 2009 4:33 pm

[img]Good afternoon. I'm looking for help identifying the maker's mark on these salt cellars. After looking through this site, I'm pretty sure I've identified the item as being sterling, manufactured in Birmingham, in 1887, but I can't locate anything on the maker's mark. If I'm way out to lunch here with the other marks, please forgive and correct me.

Thanks for whatever help anyone can provide. Great site.

Possibly Haseler Bros. Sure someone will know for certain. Best wishes, Mike.

Thanks, Mike. Can you direct me to a page where I could see where the mark looks similar to the one on the salt cellars I have. When I check for Haseler Bros. the mark I have found is a shield with initials inside the shield. Obviously, I'm not looking at the correct sites.

Thanks again.

Just wanted to double check to make sure I had the other information in my post correct, especially the date.....is it 1887?

Thanks
