Salad tong hallmark and information identification request

Can anyone identify the hallmark on these salad tongs and whether they are sterling silver or silverplate? I was unable to match the hallmark with any I could find on the site. Any help is very much appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

If your salad tongs were sterling they would have British sterling hallmarks. Check here:

Have seen that crowned EL mark on silverplated items from England, Italy, Denmark and Germany.
This makes me think it was used by an importer and/or distributor.
Have not been able to identify who that was.
