Hungarian MAker?

Postby frans » Sun Oct 23, 2005 1:00 am

Hi. I just purchased a pair of silver earrings from someone who bought them in Budapest. It's very difficult to read the back accept that one of the earrings appears to say 950 and there is a name but I cant make it out - something like Zolnay perhaps . Hoping someone may be able to shed some light thanks, fran

Hello Frans,

Can tell you that Zolnay is a hungarian city and it is also the name of a famous China factory. If it is hungarian silver, you should find an H in a rectangle shape. I cannot see it from the picture. Nevertheless I think it is a recent production probably after 1965.

Hope this has helped.

Best Regards
Myriam
