I have been trying to indentify this mark and origin without success, I am also unsure if it is silver, any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

It may help your quest, if you post a full description and photo of your item. The more information you supply, the more likely you are to receive a positive answer.

Thank you Trev I have added another picture. It is a small mustard pot I think? It was handed down to me a few years back and I have often wondered were it came from. Many thanks.

Mid 20th century (Soviet era) salt cellar with original spoon, made of melkhior (nickel silver). The numbers would be the price.

Oops, guess I should have added "Russian" in there somewhere.

Hi Cheryl,

Just trying to remember, 90k=90 Kopecs. Is the 42p connected with the price as well?

Regards Trev.

**sigh** Cyrillic, Greek, those alphabets are confusing to me, but believe the "P" should translate to "R" for Rubles.

I think Cheryl is correct.

Here's part of a post I saved from two years ago by a Russian member on an antiques discussian board.

Hi Cheryl and Pat,

Many thanks for that, there was something lurking in the back of my mind, but it refused to come out!

Regards Trev.
