I just picked up this three legged something. It's got a German 800 mark, but I can't figure out what it is. I'm guessing that it might have a missing piece, but it's function escapes me.

It's fairly small, about 1 3/4" (4 .5 cm) high and 3 1/4" (8.5cm) across.

Hi again,

Could it be an eggcup?

I think it's too wide. I put an XL egg in it and the egg just rolled around.

Hi again,

But it could be for goose or duck eggs, maybe!

I suspect it is a salt missing its shaped glass liner. If you try a goose egg with it, make sure it is well done!
