Alpaca or 925?

have a money clip that has both an Alpaca Mexico marking with a left facing eagle and 3 legs, and a 925 mark. I have read that Alpaca silver is not actually real silver, but an alloy of different metals. How do I know if it is actual 925 silver or Alpaca or could it just be silver plated?
