IS THIS SILVER? new pic of back added

This is the last of the three I purchased from the same seller - all belonging to gran who had had them for 'ages'

I think this is stamped not crafted, (did jewellery of this style get stamped?) as the design is on the back in reverse. There are no hallmarks on it at all.

It is a tiny piece measuring 2.5 cms accross.

As you can see in the unfocussed pic where I used the flash, the outer stones are different to the centre.

Is this collectable jewellery or did gran get it out of a Christman cracker?

What are the stones likely to be?

I was not able to get a clear picture when I tried to enlarge your photographs but here are my thoughts.........

This appears to be a costume jewellery piece.

It is unlikely the brooch is silver because Scottish silver brooches are usually cast and hand finished and not stamped. Also the back of the outer stones are not fully visible, indicating they are glass in imitation of Amethyst. The long pin and apparent 'C' clasp indicates it was made before the 1950's, possibly 1930's?

I have handled Scottish silver brooches that were unmarked so it is always worth investing in a silver testing kit. I have been much surprised that what I thought was surely silver, was not, and visa-versa!
