Help Please with Maker ID 800 (Airline) Cutlery

Postby onenorthernlight » Sun Sep 07, 2008 2:34 pm

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is actually Airline Cutlery although the size seems correct.

I am guessing European based on the 800 Mark.

Thanks in advance for your help in identifying the Maker and the Pattern or Airline if possible.

I have been searching through this site and have found a similar mark. Is it possible that these items might Rossdeutscher & Reisig even with the modern(?) 800 silver mark?

Also, I want to add, it isn't a reflection, there is a Gold(tone) accent on the design on the items.

AG 800 mark

I would search in East Asia. Spoons and forks of such types and sizes are on sale in Korea. Also the AG 800 mark is a 100% match to a similar spoon I have from Korea.
No help for the manufacturer mark.

Good luck for your further research.

Thank you for your help.

It was because of the look of the Maker's Mark I had thought Europe but will expand my search to Asia.

If I am able to find out anything I will come back and post it.

p.s. These are fairly heavy items with a spoon and fork being (+) 1.7 oz.

A post that's worth a bump.

Any more thoughts on this one?

Trev.
