This is an old silver bracelet. I don't know how old but believe it was my aunt's from pre 1940s. I cannot find the maker's mark online I believe it is SCHUTZT with a mark of an "S" inside a wavy diamond-shaped outline.
I am trying to find out anything I can about it.
Thank you

Hi,

There are two marks on it which indicates that the item was imported in The Netherlands.
The mark with the number 5 is a weight indicator for items with a lot of loose parts. Every number represents 5 grams of weight, in your case thus 25 grams.
The V mark is a Dutch taxmark that was used for foreign objects between 1906 and 1953.

Wow...that makes sense to me as my family came to the U.S. from Holland in the 1800s and we still have family there. That makes it more meaningful to me now.

The word "geschutzt" is German and means patented, if that helps.

Is there a way I can find the maker...websites to go to?... and/or year of manufacture? I'd love to give it to one of my daughters with the proper info as it came from my gread grandmother most likely
