Scottish Silver Brooch Maker Info Required Please

Hi! I hope this post conforms to the guidelines this time....well here goes!
I wonder if anyone recognises the maker of this Alexander Ritchie Style Viking Longship Brooch.
Assayed in 1950 in Edinburgh the maker's mark is AL with a pellet between the letters (rectangular box)

Images are not clear but if brooch is Edinburgh 1950 then I would put the Sponsors mark as Andrew Laurie
