Scandinavian? Double Salt

Postby dragonflywink » Mon Jul 14, 2008 12:13 pm

This is a piece from my Mom's open salt collection, marked 830 with a maker's mark that is unclear to me, hoping that someone else might recognize it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello, this is the mark of Wilhelm Ludwig from Hanau. Active from the 1930ies until 1972, when Ludwig was sold to Wilhelm Geist of Hanau. Best wishes, Bahner

Thank you Bahner, definitely has a German look to it, despite the uncommon .830 fineness, dating fits in right where I'd have guessed.
