Silver Square Link Necklace Italian MArk question

Postby slgwb » Tue Jun 03, 2008 10:32 pm

Thanks to your encyclopedia on this website I have almost completely identified the origin of my silver necklace. I have identified the star on the left as meaning Italian. The 1 next to the star is the registration number for the maker and the AR on the end is for the City Arezzo. My question is how do I find out the name of the person who is registered as #1 in Italy?

Uno A Erre, founded in Arezzo, Italy in 1926. They made some interesting modernist designs in the 70's & 80's and collaborated with some well known fine artists.
Italy is one of the largest chain producers and exporters of the world. 835 is on odd standard for Italian jewelry, and since the chain also bears the mark of the Norwegian company - Theodor Olsens Eftf, it would seem this one was made after 1968 for export to northern Europe.

Regards, Tom
