Unknown Silver Mark - Please help, i'm a newbie :)

I have been searching the internet for days to try and find what this mark could be. I was given this little " jar " as a gift. Don't even know what it is. Maybe someone can help with that too. It stands 3 inches high.

So would you suugest me searching under pewter marks? Is there such a thing?

Hi Cristalsnow-

Looks like pewter to me also, but do not think that this takes away from it's importance. In fact pewter artists can be even harder to collect, because it was more often likely to be melted down and used again.
