can anyone help with makers mark

Postby maljosh59 » Wed Mar 26, 2008 3:57 am

Hi There i have a silver coffee/tea pot that has been passed down through the family, i have identified from this site that it is Sterling silver with London marks made in 1753, i can not however identify makers mark which is ppam arranged as follows in the middle mark on right in photo, using a clock face as reference letters are displayed as...a "P" at 12,an "A" at 3,an "M" at 6, a "P" at 9 and a & in the centre of letters.
Any help would be appreciatted.

Jackson's has a similar mark - 'P over P*A over M' for Peter Archambo II and Peter Meure.
