Silvermarks on 800 candlestick

Hello, it is also listed under unidentified German marks. See here, left column:

Actually that is a large, round "A" and a smaller "K". Maker is Adolf Kander from Berlin. No further dates, I'm afraid. Best wishes, Bahner

On the page as #183.
Apparently a Jewish firm, they must have been out of business by 1940 or so.

Hello, feels like this deserves more input. The company was founded on April 4th, 1882. Since the end of 1933 Adolf Kander was the sole owner. Beside making some nice modernistic hollowware, Kander had specialized in making Judaica. By January first 1939 all companies / shops etc. owned by German Jews had to be closed or sold to Non-Jews. I don’t know what happened to Kander’s company. Best wishes, Bahner

I put some pics of the candlestick in. Maybe somebody knows more of this design? What period is it from?

What means the small mark on the right side and on the top of the candlestick?

Hello, trust me on this, it's Kander and AK ligated. The style is 1920ies / 1930ies. I cannot see the other mark clearly, might be an importer's or retailer's mark from another country. Best wishes, Bahner.

Does the form and desgn of this candlestick has a special name?

In this case 'ligated' means the letters in the mark are tied together or overlap. It is not a comment on the piece itself.
