Unknown mark on spoon

This is one of a set of 6 boxed spoons, the mark is CJA, followed by a Gothic S and finally a mark I cannot distinguish, possibly an 8.
Nothing in tardy but test positive.

Believe the letters CJA stand for Charles James Allen.
Succeeded Allen & Darwin (Charles James Allen & Sidney Darwin), Sheffield, England.
Mark was used from 1923 through 1952.
