D.C. Percival, Jr., of D. C. Percival & Co., Inc., Boston, and a picked crew from Marblehead, followed the fleet along the north shore, and gave those visiting Annapolis “Midshipmen” some competition. He says, “The crew were fast workers on shore.”

D. C. Percival & Co., Boston, lost its last watchmaker to the Army, when Russell Bedford was drafted into the service April 1.

Jewelry Salesman Injured in Automobile Accident

Providence, R. I., Sept. 20.—Elmer W. Vassar, of 21 Kemper St., Wollaston, Mass., a salesman for D. C. Percival & Co., 373 Washington St., Boston, was
seriously injured in an automobile smash-up on Nooseneck Hill Road, in West Greenwich, about 15 miles from this city, on the night of Sept. 5. He received deep scalp lacerations, a skull fracture and other injuries. His condition has sufficiently improved so that he has been removed to his home.

Fred Fuller, of D. C. Percival & Co., visited the office for a short while last week after an absence of several months, caused by a stroke. He is virtually restored to normal health and hopes to return to business in the near future.

Lawrence Percival, treasurer of D. C. Percival Co., Inc., wholesale jewelers, 373 Washington St., presented each member of the staff with a gold pin or button on Jan. 1, in commemoration of the firm’s 75th anniversary. The figures “75” in gold, on blue enamel, make the diamond-shaped lapel pieces very handsome.

Lawrence F. Percival, of D. C. Percival & Co., whose wedding was announced a few weeks ago, returned last week from a wedding trip to Europe with his bride. D. C. Percival, Sr., who is an enthusiastic devotee of the fisherman’s rod, has been enjoying a brief sojourn at Rangeley lakes.

Lawrence Percival and bride have gone abroad for their wedding trip. Mr. Percival’s father, D. C. Percival, received a cablegram from them May 5, saying they will visit Paris and London and will remain in Europe some three weeks.
