TO MOVE ON ACCOUNT OF INCREASED RENTS
PROVIDENCE, R. I., July 20.-There is general dissatisfaction among the tenants of the building on Eddy street, this city, known as the Amasa Mason block, and occupied almost exclusively by manufacturing jewelers. The cause of discontent is the raising of the rents to nearly double former rates, So exorbitant have the rents been made, that many of the concerns will be forced to find other quarters. Located in this block are: Peter Crossin & Co.; S. E. Budlong & Co.; Dewey F. Adams; George N. Babington; J. M. Fraser & Co.; Timothy D. Pratt and Simmons & Paye. Of these J. M. Fraser & Co. has already made arrangements to move by August 1st locating at 78 Friendship street.
