Hello I have just been looking in the bottom of my spoon box at the “need more information” corner. I picked out a small spoon whose hallmarks looked similar to something I had learnt and read about recently from “925-1000”.

Am I seeing a “clipped tri-cusped duty mark” and one of the “odd” looking lion passants illustrated the Exeter Lions article? Is this spoon in fact an early 1800’s Exeter spoon and the mal-formed “RF” indicating “Richard Ferris” as the maker.
My spoon’s marks have some similarities to “Bstaunto's” tong marks and I am hoping the forum can actually help me put the correct label on my unknown spoon.
Yours
Fishless
