Help needed on spoon marks

Hi, Can anyone help me identify the origins of this tablespoon? It only has 2 marks, a maker's mark of HG and another which to me looks like a mushroom lying on its side.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Hi Martin,

Hugh Gordon of Madras.

Working in India from 1793 until 1803. Succeeded by Gordon & Lovell (George Gordon I, Francis Lovell, and Robert Gordon II) (see: http://www.925-1000.com/ix_GordonLovell.html )
