Colonial mark?

Does anyone have any ideas about this very Colonial looking mark. I suspect it might be Canadian.

Hi Paul,

I'm struggling to see the mark (I think it's just me having problems seeing anything on photobucket mobile, I only see thumbnails).

Is the maker's mark 'AR'?, if so, then Adam Ross of Halifax, Nova Scotia, springs to mind.

Sorry Trev. It is actually 'AL' There was an Andrew Lander in Quebec around the right period, but I cannot find any pictures of his mark.

There is also Ambroise LaFrance of Quebec, but can't find an example of his mark either.

Not just you Trev, all I see is the page clicking the photo leads to on photobucket but I do not see any photo at all on that page, using Opera browser 12.02
