Vienna sugar caster with plain round baluster body. Hand pierced lid and a cast riveted knurl finial. Six inches tall.
Vienna mark 1777 and ``IGL`` maker’s mark.
Any idea who ``IGL`` might be? Thanks for looking.

Hallo Ag2012,

the maker is probably Johann Georg Lösch, 1764 entry into the guild.

Kind regards from Styria, Austria

Thanks a lot dear friend from Austria,
Outstanding quality of 18th and early 19th century silver made throughout Habsburg Empire, even in remote provinces where old techniques were used as far as 1850.
