Married Elizabeth Jefferies at St Marylebone on 17th July 1814.
Christening records for their 5 children at St James, Clerkenwell show their father as a jeweller at Clerkenwell Green 1822-23 and Clerkenwell Close 1825-28.
He registered marks as a goldworker:
1825 from 13 Arlington Street, Clerkenwell and later in the same year from 47 Red Lion Street in partnership with William Meyer,
1826 from 47 Red Lion Street and later in the same year from 47 Clerkenwell Close,
1831 from 31 Percival Street, Clerkenwell.
1841 UK Census for Crown Place, Camberwell as a jeweller.
1851 UK Census for 12 Owen Row, Clerkenwell as Beadle of St James, Clerkenwell. Son John (b.1828) recorded as a jeweller at the same address.
John Culme’s Directory of Gold & Silversmiths Jewellers & Allied Trades 1838-1914 Vol.1 p329 records James Charles Money in partnership at 8 Owen Row with William Baxter (Grimwade p.383) until 1856.
1861 UK Census detail as for 1851.
1871 UK Census for 8 Owen Row as a parish officer.
Died 17th August 1877.
England & Wales Death Index for Holborn register dated 3rd quarter 1877.
National Probate Calendar for Principal Registry dated 28th September 1877. Last address 45 Clerkenwell Green. Value of estate under £800.
