Mark on 1949 DANMARK spoon

Post by Sebastian »

Please, does someone recognise the maker's mark on this Danish silver spoon? The 0.830 silver three-tower mark and the Guardian's mark are clear, but the maker's mark is difficult to read. The spoon was assayed in 1949.

Hi,
Not absolutely sure, but it may be Hansen & Andersen, first mark here

Many thanks for pointing me to Hansen & Andersen. In spite of the wear to the mark, it's possible to see that the mark on the spoon is theirs. Is it a problem that Hansen & Andesen apparently stopped in 1947, whilst the spoon was assayed in 1949?
Best regards

Hello

Could it maybe assayed for sale - as part of a liquidation sale?

Kind regards silverport
