Bracelet, EG 999 leaf

Post by lomlfoml »

I recently acquired two bracelets from a local New Jersey dealer. This is the American one (well, North American, presumably). Though the center part of the mark initially looked like initials with dots in between, or even 666, I am sure it says 999, having cleaned it up. The leaf appears to have an anchor in it or similar. And the first part is the initials EG in handwriting, not printing. The piece appears to be ingot, what with all the stuff on the back. It also appears to have the front all carved lines.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello - sorry for the big pix. I am still trying to correlate bytes to image size. Here they are small. Thank you.

I don't know if there's really any connection, but one reference shows a Birmingham goldsmith named Thomas Bishop who used a leaf with a T on it as part of his trademark.
