Thistle cup, nicely marked...Help!

Hello again,
Well here is a silver thistle cup that I believe to be Spanish Colonial based on the engraved initials "PC" and the band at the top...it just has that feel. The marks are an "R" with a pellet above and a very nicely detailed tree. There is a 2nd look at the tree on the right.
I need help with origin and with these marks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Judhael-

Your cup looks very old, are you sure that it is silver? For some reason it feels like pewter to me. Not that I care, I believe art is art and smithing is smithing no matter what income level the artist was working in.

Dont know for sure but the R with the dot.
Swedish for Johan Rudman1689-1727 widow continueduntill 1734. Gävle in sweden.
But the tree ??

Thanks for the notes guys. The cup is definitely silver, I have polished it a time or two in the 15 or so years that I have owned it. I have browsed every hallmarks book I could get my hands on and have not gotten close. I'm pretty sure it's late 17th to early 18th century and it does have a repaired crack on the side opposite the monogram, battered and beaten from years of toasting the hostess...
