Dutch Bible, 1767, maker?

Post by Vantlicht »

This bibleclasps are dated 1767. They are marked with a makersmark which looks like a monogram. JR?

I do not recognize this maker. Help is appreciated!

Maybe not Dutch.

Wheel/ räder mark points perhaps to Germany, let's ask Theodrich to take a look at it.

Could this be Roelof Lanckamp from Amsterdam? 1738-1759. (Citroen 1993, P98)

Not Roelof Lanckamp his mark, different monogram and cartouche, not in a shield. The wheel mark, I believe not to be Dutch.
