Hi Alex,

Heinrich Offergeld, 1804-1874, Dillenburg/Hessen, Germany.
He was Carls Stiehls master, who married his daughter Anna Christina Offergeld.
After the death of Heinrich Offergeld, they opened in 1875 an own workshop in Kassel.

His son Severin Stiehl (1885) became also a silvermith.
1928 he produced a table-bell for "Verbandshaus der preußischen Landkreise, Berlin".
His son Hermann Stiehl overtook the shop, Kassel, Dormannweg 1.

Erika and Doris Stiehl continued the tradition.
The firm celebrated its 100 th anniversary in February 1975.
The shop was closed in 2018.
