Just picked this up and I'm stumped. It weighs ~2oz, is almost 2 inches tall and has red glass or paste eyes. I've cleaned the inside as best I can, it's revealed faded writing, I can make out "STERLING" in a couple of places but there's words i can't decipher. I am assuming it is orignally american based on this. It looks like at some point it was overstamped with a "4" ? On the rim there is a 925 and a diamond with possibly a 9 inside. Could these 2 also be overstamps from a later date?

in case the images don't come through properly they are in this imgur album along with a few others, including the inside before it was cleaned. https://imgur.com/a/6yrChip
If anyone has any idea it would be appreciated! Happy to provide more pics if needed. Thanks

I have owned a more or less identical one with modern London hallmarks for a number of years. Please see the attached images.
