At what point does W.K. Vanderslice & Co. become just W.K. Vanderslice Co.? Seems like an organizational change, but might it be a subsidiary operation solely for the manufacturing end? TIA.

Getty has provided Taber’s photographic album views from 1880. Here is included the Sutter Street building with Vanderslice & Co., Seth Thomas, and B. Nathan. (Compare to the drawing when this was referenced as the Levison Brothers’ California Jewelry Co. home building.) We also have one for the Shreve Building with Shreve & Company.
