Silver Asparagus tongs, Londen

Is there somebody who can help to determine this asparagus tongs? I am a little confused about the Yearletter A. It could be 1756 or 1836 if I see the date letter chart. Furthermore I checked alle the makersmarks of London, but I could not find this one.

So help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.
