I'm not sure if I am posting this in the proper category, but starting here. I have the below coffee/tea service pieces and am trying to find out the maker and approximate age. The only marks on the bottom of all pieces is "STERLING" and the lion passant. On the sides are a horse head, the letters DARE, and a sort of Coat of Arms looking design. I have searched extensively and I tend to think that DARE and the other designs are maybe a family or organization name, ie. just personalization. Is it possible to determine the area made, maker, or date without any other markings on the bottom?
Any wisdom you can impart is appreciated!
