This knottekistje was given to a girl if I guy want to marrie her. With some coins inside. Typical for Friesland.
This item is marked but it looks like the marks have been deliberately made vague. The bird is really nice on the backside. Could this be an english crest?
And why are the marks so bad? Anybody recognize this?
It is perhaps British family crest, the family coat of arms resembles a baby in wicker basket with a deterrent eagle on top. I've never seen it before . It appears that the marks have been purposely erased.
I will move you to the family crest section.
