Birmingham, N&H, Silver Bowl - Help

Hi,
Hoping someone with more knowledge and experience could help me out.

From searching the makers' marks and hallmarks I believe this piece is Nathan and Hayes, Birmingham, however I'm having difficulty with the date letter. Could it be an 1885 'l' or 1893 't'? Either way, the shape of the cartouches don't match which is why I'm struggling!

I opt for letter t i.e. 1893.

As suggested the date letter is "t" for 1893. At this period Birmingham Assay Office used 2 styles of punch shapes, the rectangle with cut corners as on your bowl and an oval. I suspect that the deciding factor for which style to use is the size of the piece with the oval used for larger pieces.
