Just to start, let’s classify this as a Knot Pattern and, for search purposes, throw in the keywords Knotenmuster as well as Gordian Knot. Beyond that, can you get cleaner marks or better images? What do you read as the two letters in the squared mark…I. E., R. E., other? Can you read what wording is under the “75” (which has been placed in a false Dresden city mark) and might it be “Jahre” or “gms”? Short of all that, let’s hope Bahner sees it.

It is the town mark of Dresden after 1860. 75 means 750/1000 silver. Maker is most probably Carl August Theodor SACHWALL (1833-1894).

Perhaps Sachwall was only the seller and the maker hides behind the difficult legible Initials IE?

The date letter "H" would be 1862. Not really sure about the attribution to Sachwall; the Dresden mark here was used by many different makers (at least eight other than Sachwall that I've noted). The maker's mark looks like "FE" or "EE" to me, so I think either Friedrich Wilhelm Eismann [Eissmann, Eitzmann] (1783-1864) or Friedrich Heinrich Emil Eckert (1824-1886) or is more likely.
