SAN FRANCISCO

T. P. Bennetts, coast representative of the Pairpoint Corporation has equipped excellent display rooms at 304 Cordes building in this city. The building is next door to the Jewelers’ building. An excellent line of samples is being shown by Mr. Bennetts, including glass, beautiful lamps and hollow-ware silver. The offices are entirely for wholesale and Mr. Bennetts finds that his customers are interested in the Pairpoint products for their holiday trade, at this season. Mr. Bennetts is calling on his San Francisco customers, after traveling all over his territory.

George H. Sylvia, of the Pairpoint Corporation, was in Boston last week, having returned from an extensive tour in California, where he visited with his family on pleasure and recuperation. He reports a wonderful change in Los Angeles which he had not visited for 30 years. He also records the fact that G. C. Shreve & Co., of San Francisco, have discontinued their china and glass department, which occupied the entire second floor of their spacious premises. The Pairpoint company announces that in a fortnight’s time it will hold an exhibit at the Parker House, Boston.

The Federal Grand Jury, Monday, found a true bill against Mark T. Rounds, an employe of the Pairpoint Silver Co., New Bedford, who was charged with counterfeiting. Rounds was arrested, last July, and acknowledged that he stole britannia scraps from the concern by whom he was employed, and, melting it, poured it into moulds, thereby casting half dollars, quarters and dimes, which he had passed in large numbers.
