Any information will be helpful. A very recent purchase, so better images can follow as needed. Thank you in advance.

For what it's worth, I can make out the screw press trademark and 835S and nothing else at this point.

Hi silverly,

Have you used the correct coding? You images are very small.

I think so. I previewed post images just to see if it was better, and it wasn’t. I’ll post better images once the item arrives.

Hello, this is pattern 221 from the early 1930ies. The designer is not known. Regards, Bahner

Wow! Thank you. I guess it’s too early to be considered being in the modernist style (not entirely sure what that is anyway) , or is it art deco?

The additional mark of what looks like a “V” over layed on horizontal lines in an appropriately shaped cartouche raises another question. Is it for the actual maker or…?

::::: "Dutch script-letter V; duty mark for imported gold and silver objects, the V for the Dutch word ˜vreemd" which translate to foreign. The mark gives no guarantee of standard of fineness. It was intended for imported objects only. It was however sometimes by mistake used on old objects of national origin.Used 1906-1953". :::::: (from the master thread by oel on Dutch silver hallmarks)
