SS marks silver salad server spoon

Post by worry123 »

Hi, can anyone identify this silver salad server spoon. There are seperated S and S marks on the bowl. Is it sterling/solid silver?

::::: Is the handle hollow and there is a tiny hole in the handle somewhere? :::: I
::::: I believe this construction to be typical of Thailand silver. ::::
::::: This seems to be a solid silver rice serving spoon (rice ladle) from Thailand, I have had a few similar objects in the past. ::::

yes. thers is a small hole in the handle.
Thanks a lot. I also think it was made in somewhere South East Asia. Thailand sounds reasonable.
