Good morning,
I'm hoping to pick your expert brains to solve a family mystery.
My great grandmother emigrated from Portugal to Mexico in the early XX century. Apart from her name (very common Portuguese given name and surname) I only have this ring that belong to her.
Would any of you know if "soviet" made rings with these stamps were common all over Europe or is this a sign of a possible earlier immigration. (Images below)
Many thanks for any tips,

Re: Portuguese-Russian ring Mystery
Hi,
The ring was made in 1984. Most likely by amber factory (kombinat) in Riga.
One of the examples we do not trust in provenance e.g.``being in the family for a century`` etc.
Regards

You're correct, although we get carried away with emotion and wishful thinking it's better to know the truth.
Thank you again,
