Handle is only marked Sterling on each equal half, but the work end is clearly Marianne Silver Plate, a brand mark of National Silver Company. The handle doesn't match any well documented National pattern, but perhaps the gadrooning might suggest one as they have a later "New Gadroon" pattern. Sounds like there should be an old gadroon? TIA
