Walker & Hall Creamer: Ellerman Lines early

Post by Traintime »

Carries W&H Sheffield without England..should be before 1891? But Ellerman name came into use after 1900. Date code "Y" in pentagon could be in 1900-10 era sequence? Damn U-boats!!

Following this it would have to be post-WWII around 1949: http://www.silvercollection.it/ENGLAWAL ... LDATE.html

The missing C-O-O designation would seem to imply, in this period, domestic production continued without the mark which would have been required to be applied to export goods under trade laws.

The "Y" is W&H's private date code for, I believe, 1952.

That was close Phil. The Y is actually 1951.
