Silver goblet identity

Post by juantotree »

Hi

I believe this is a French silver goblet. I would be grateful if anyone could confirm this and also possibly identify who the maker is.

Many Thanks
Martin

I am reasonably certain that the marks used 1808-1834 and 1834-1846 were not those of father and son, but one person: Pierre Francois Queille. The four generations of Queilles were:

Pierre Francois Queille
Born: 13 Jan 1781, Paris, 5th arrondissement, son of Pierre Queille & Gabrielle Soyez
Married: by 1801, to Antoinette Marie Niccole Alexandre
Died: 11 Jun 1846, Paris, 6th arrondissement

Eugene Francois Queille
Born: Sep 1804, Paris, son of Pierre-Francois Quielle & Antoinette Marie Nicole Alexandre
Married: 23 Mar 1833, to Marie Jeanne Claire Marion
Died: 11 Jan 1880, Samoreau, Seine-et-Marne

Pierre Elvire Francois Queille
b. 18 Jan 1834, Paris, 2nd arrondissement, s.o. Francois Queille & Marie Jeanne Claire Marion
Married. 23 Feb 1864, to Pauline Laure Helene Chaudessais
Died: 3 Sep 1896, Paris, 16th arrondissement

Emile Pierre Queille
Born: 12 Dec 1864, Paris, 2nd arrondissement, son of Pierre François Elvire Queillé & Pauline Laure Helene Chaudessais
Married: 19 Jul 1895, Lille, Nord, to Marie Leonie Angelique Bouchez
Died: 27 Nov 1955, Paris, 16th arrondissement
