At Leamington, on Monday, an elderly man named James Bradley, who was stated to be well known to the police of most of the large towns in the kingdom, and to have been convicted of numerous acts of swindling, was committed for trial on the charge of stealing a set of diamond studs, of the value of eighteen guineas, from the shop of Mr. H. Bright, jeweller, Lower Parade. Prisoner has passed in various places as Captain Logan, Major Bradbury, and Dr. Mackintosh, and his career has been a very remarkable one.
