An ever so sweet pickle jar!
I bought it from a second hand shop ( I love a good forage) and wasn't sure what it was at first but my guess came up trumps - it's a pickle jar!
It will be cleaned up and on display in my coffee shop.
Was having a look underneath and whilst the fork is stamped EPNS A, the silver carrier has something else. Just wondering how old this thing is and if it is silver? The 957 has got me stumped. Anyway, even if it's junk - I love it and cant wait to give it back its shine
I found this
Re: I found this
Hi,
VINERS
Sheffield
The business was started around 1901 by Adolphe Viener and his sons, active until 1985.
EPNS stands for electro plated nickel silver, so it is not solid silver.
957 is serial, factory number.
Regards

Re: I found this
Hi, thank you :)
I worked out it was Viners etc but couldn't decipher the date. Must be around in the 1900's, earlyish… It may not be Antique Roadshow standard but definitely work for my coffee shop. Regards
