Miniature Halberd.

Post by paulh »

Can anyone suggest what this might be. It is a miniature halberd made by Atkin Brothers, measuring just 4" in length. The top spike has striations which show that is has been scratched by something hard. The spike is too short and broad to pick anything up with. Both the hook and blade have really sharp points, but the blade does not have an edge. It is not mearly decorative as the marks on it show that it has been used for something; but what?

For skewering the olive or onion in a martini. I had a set of 12 halberds and 12 swords once, unsure where they went, they just kept disappearing...
