I have no clue what these marks are even after quite extensive research. It appears to be Birmingham but that's all I can tell. Can anyone recognize these?

Hi Collectorvt,
These are not English marks, I'm unsure of their origin but possibly early German.
I'm sure You will not have to wait long for the answer.

my guess is Hanover for the lion. The frame is not corresponding to the one in my book but its a good guess.
the 3 stars could be Norden (also Germany) where it is located i dont know. But perhaps a hint. And I should say I am not very good at german marks.

The conjoined "WF" and "3 stars" marks are those of the famous Belgian firm of Wolfers Frères. It's odd, though, I don't ever recall seeing Wolfers Frères marks with pseudo-marks, which I am fairly certain the lion and the ram(?) are. In any case, I thnk it dates from the first decade of the 20th century. See this page for more information.

Hello, I have seen the three Wolfers-stars always in a clear-cut triangle with pointed edges, never in a round form like here. I am not so sure about the "WF" either. All look like pseudo marks to me. It is not in the Hanau style, so maybe it is from some other country, that also uses the 800 ? Best wishes, Bahner
