I have the following tray, which I think is called a letter tray and which seems to be solid silver:
It is marked on the rim with three hallmarks:
- a lozenge mark with the letters QAR and a star below
- a lion's head erased looking to the right (or an eagle's head ?)
- a capital letter L (or another symbol ?)

Could anyone tell me something about the origin, maker and age of this letter tray ?
